1. Who these terms apply to
These terms cover your use of the public Forward IT Thinking website. Forward IT Thinking is the consulting brand of FIT Automate, a Canadian business based in Ontario.
By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the site.
These terms do not govern paid consulting work. Client engagements are covered by a separate written agreement, proposal, statement of work, or master services agreement. If anything in those agreements conflicts with these terms, the engagement agreement wins for that engagement.
2. What the site is for
The site exists to describe our services, let you contact us, book meetings, request proposals, and publish articles, guides, and case studies.
Information on the site is general. It is not advice for your specific situation. Do not act on it without talking to us or another qualified advisor.

3. How you can use it
You can browse, read, share links, and quote short passages with attribution.
You agree not to:
- Break any law while using the site.
- Disrupt the site, its security, or other users.
- Probe, scan, or test for vulnerabilities without our written permission.
- Scrape, mirror, or bulk-copy content for republication or model training without permission.
- Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to submit forms, chat messages, or meeting requests.
- Impersonate anyone or misrepresent your affiliation.
We may block, throttle, or remove access if you do any of these.
4. Forms, chat, and meeting bookings
When you fill in a form, send a chat message, or book a meeting:
- Do not submit sensitive personal information such as health information, financial account numbers, government IDs, or anything you would not put in a normal business email.
- Anything you send is handled under our Privacy Policy.
- If the chat is AI-assisted, replies may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Use them as a starting point, not as a final answer. We confirm anything important by email or in a meeting.
5. Our content
Everything on the site, including text, branding, logos, graphics, code, downloadable templates, and the look and feel, is owned by FIT Automate / Forward IT Thinking or its licensors. Canadian and international copyright and trademark law apply.
You can:
- Read and share links freely.
- Quote short passages with credit and a link back.
- Use downloadable templates we publish under their stated licence.
You cannot, without written permission:
- Republish full articles or large sections.
- Use our name, logos, or branding to suggest a partnership or endorsement.
- Train AI models on our content.
- Resell or sublicense anything from the site.
6. Your content
If you post a comment, send feedback, or submit content through the site, you keep ownership of it. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, and display that content to operate the site and respond to you. You confirm you have the right to share it and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
We can remove content for any reason, including legal risk or policy violations.
7. Third-party links and tools
The site links to third-party sites and uses third-party tools such as analytics, scheduling, CRM, and payment providers. We do not control them. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you interact with them. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices.
8. Availability
We try to keep the site running, but we do not promise it will be available, error-free, or secure at all times. We may change, suspend, or end any part of the site without notice.
9. No warranty
The site and everything on it is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
This does not limit any rights you have under Canadian consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, FIT Automate, Forward IT Thinking, and our directors, officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
- Anything caused by your use of, or inability to use, the site or anything you got from it.
Our total liability for any claim related to the site is capped at CAD $100.
This cap does not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, for example gross negligence, wilful misconduct, fraud, or breach of statutory rights you cannot waive.
For paid consulting work, the liability terms in the signed engagement agreement apply instead of this section.
11. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify FIT Automate and Forward IT Thinking against claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from your misuse of the site, your breach of these terms, or content you submit.
12. Privacy and email
How we handle personal information is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Commercial email from us complies with CASL: we email you only with consent or under an existing business relationship, identify ourselves, and include a one-click unsubscribe.
13. Changes to these terms
We can update these terms. We will change the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, post a notice on the site. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
You and we agree that the courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from the site or these terms, except that either party can seek urgent injunctive relief in any competent court.
If you are a Quebec consumer, nothing in this section removes rights you have under Quebec law, including the right to bring proceedings in Quebec.
15. If part is unenforceable
If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. The unenforceable part will be read down to the minimum extent needed to make it enforceable.
